Non-Technical - God has been Good!

    ALL

Over the last 6 weeks or so, my Corvette life has been turned completely around. Dealer I bought my 2010 ZR1 from calls and says we have allocation available for M7 Z06, are you interested. Well, on Saturday November 15th around 1000 hours went by Sport Chevrolet and handed keys to used car manager and proceeded to spec out a 2105 Z06 Laguna Blue, 2LZ with grey interior and inserts; PDR; battery protection and upgraded information system - came to about $85500. Manager comes back with a figure I thought was agreeable and I was back home around 1200 after they gave me ride home! Just found out this morning my 2015 Z06 was built last week and is waiting shipment! New cars name is FELINA.

Second item, sold my 1963 Z06 to an individual in Florida. This took place over several months of email exchanges and inspection of the car. Car was on Reliable truck last Thursday, and I have replaced LADY with a 1967 Camaro RS/SS pro street car that is awesome. Wanted to get back to my teenage years with the muscle cars. Her name is HILDA - like in Broom Hilda, the WITCH!

Wow, Rick, what the heck? Lots of changes going on. And thanks for the translation on your new avatar, I was confused why there was a metal car up there.

Congrats sir, sounds like 2015 will start with a long smokey burnout for you!!!

        That's a good one.
I'll be first in line for a PV on the Z06 if that's OK.

Congrats Rick. Let us know what you think of the Z06.
And let's keep it on the pavement.

Some very nice rides there, and glad to see other people name their cars after ladies. Mine are: Carly, Sheryl, Shelley, Brittany, Cleopatra, Claudette, Corrina, and Pyewacket…don't ask…..

                Rick,

Enjoy both new toys, sorry you sold the 63 but I'm sure it was just collecting dust anyway like most of the good ones.

I believe Rick said the buyer is in/around Sarasota. We'll let him chime in.

Hey! My mom's name was Hilda.

My 63 never really had a name for the first number of years, then I lost a good buddy and close friend who convinced me to buy the Vette over a Biscayne 409 I'd planned on while we were in the Army together. It is now simply called: "Denis" (with one N).

I keep and care for it because of it's intrinsic value.

Over 45 years ago I got rid of a 68 Camaro for a Corvette. Still have it. Old cars are just something ya just have to have around. Something new is totally different from the 50's and 60's cars and the youthful feeling while driving the old stuff. No substitute........

I always love getting into my '60s cars and shifting those cranky Muncies and Top Loaders. They are nothing like the light Tremecs of my new cars, and an M22 clutch is really a chore compared to the Tremec hydraulics, but they are great fun, and good exercise…...

You said it all. I do have a tremec without the hydraulic throw out bearing, just the old tried and true leg work type. The Beach Boys have great Christmas songs too.....!
