I am replacing the front stabilizer links and noticed that the original links have five (5) washers, two (2) on top and three (3) on the lower A-arm. All the replacements I have seen use only four (4) washers that hold the rubber bushings. Is this due to the Gymkhana suspension option? or is this a factory line blunder? It works fine but the rubber bushings need replacement and I don't know if i use 4 or 5 washers.

If by "washers" you are actually referring to the bushing RETAINERS, there should be 2 upper and 2 lower on each side regardless of the suspension option. In Appreciation of John Hinckley- Top

Re: 78 front stabilizer link bushing washers
Thanks Joe...............yes I was referring to the bushing retainers. The pace car is a 5 star BowTie and BG Survivor/Gold, multiple TF, triple crown, McLellan etc and I have no idea how 5 retainers ended up on these SB links. From the bottom up there is the bolt/retainer/bushing/A-arm/retainer (extra)/bushing/retainer/spacer/retainer/bushing/bar/bushing/retainer/nut. Go figure??- Top
