Does anyone know a good pre-purchase inspection service in Montreal? Also has anyone had experiences importing and titling a car in the states from Canada? Thanks

Re: 1966 Big Block Inspection in Montreal
I don't know if this would make a difference, but is it a car that was sold new in Canada (ie. imported from the US on its M.S.O.) and therefore appearing on GM Canada's import shipping reports ? Or is it one that was bought used in the U.S. by a resident of Canada back in the '70's (when many went north) ?- Top

Re: 1966 Big Block Inspection in Montreal
I bought a 67 Corvette in Canada in 1989. It had been sold originally in Canada so I was able to get GM of Canada documentation which was a big benefit I didn't even know about when I decided to buy it. I had intended to try to drive it home, but the true condition of the car when I arrived in Montreal and the impending snow changed my mind.
I hired a roll-back tow truck and rode with the tow crew back to the Washington, Dc area. I didn't have any issue with customs duty since the car was manufactured in the U.S., and I didn't have any trouble getting a Maryland title with the Canadian title and bill of sale.- Top

Thanks to all of you for your quick responses. After I posted I've heard back from the seller that he thinks the car sold last night, so for now I'll stand down. Thanks again for your help..much appreciated!- Top
