1958 hubcaps

Was the dog dish hubcap used only on big brake cars? Was the full face hubcap an option? I'm just trying to find out what is the correct hubcap or if both can be considered correct.

I think that the dog dish hub cap was used on wide wheels which is a different option from big brakes. Usually wide wheels were ordered with the big brakes but not always. Big brakes with the regular wheel, 5 inch rather than 5.5 inch, would have the full wheel cover. Please correct me if I'm wrong on this score.

Yes, the standard wheel covering was the full wheel covering used with the 5" wheel. The wide (5.5") wheel was the option and used the dog dish hub cap.
