1967 - Decoding Tank Sticker Order Copy - Help

I recently found the order copy on the tank (order copy.pdfn) while restoring the rear suspension on my 67. Ive spent a lot of time on the forum decoding everything. I have a few remaining unanswered questions I was hoping someone would know:

    1) zone 23 dealer 878 is Doc Stewart Chevy in Clovis New Mexico. Were there any other states included in zone 23 in 1967?

    2) I have the auxiliary hard top C07. since the suffix is "BA", I assume it did not come with a soft top?

    3) I understand that the "Y" prefix in the option numbers is associated with A.O. Smith financial/accounting codes. Does the "02" prefix in front of all the option numbers have any significance?

    4) is the date received the date in which the order for the car was process by the factory?

Thanks in advance for any insight into my questions!

    Nick -

    2. Correct - this car came with a hardtop instead of the soft top.

    3. No - the "02" is just part of the AOS Corvette code.

    4. The "Date Received" is the date the order was accepted for production by the plant - it was usually built a month or so later, after the required material was procured and the unit was scheduled.

John - thank you for the information. I thought that the A.O. Smith codes did not relate to chassis or power-train options? So if the car was a St. Louis body, it would not have any codes that start with "02"? thanks again.

I am sure there were other states in Zone 23, not sure which ones though. I remember Doc Stewart Chevy in Clovis. My brother had graduated college a few years before and was running a Goodyear store in Clovis in those days, just down the street, and I remember new Chevys (including Corvettes) coming into his shop to have different tires put on from that dealer, as the new owners didn't like the original equipment tires. He sold a lot of Blue Streak tires (775X15s were popular for Corvettes) in the day for high performance cars.

          Nick -

They did if a particular chassis option affected the body build, like J50 power brakes, which required drilling holes and riveting the nut plate in position on the cowl for the upper two booster attaching bolts.

            Hey Nick,

It appears (from the dealer code information on this site) that Zone 23 consisted of New Mexico, Texas, and Oklahoma. New Mexico with the least number and Oklahoma with the most.
