C2 Window Regulator Rivet & Roller Tool

I'm replacing my rivets & rollers on both window regulators but not coming up with any EFFECTIVE methods on my own to properly attach the rivets. Not finding any special tooling listed anywhere either. Anyone have advice on the correct tooling and/or method?

Fred, What about placing the roller into regulator and placing on the face surface like the vise, and take a center punch and hit the middle of the rivet to start the peening over of the rivet, then use a couple of small ball peen hammers, place one ball of the hammer on top of the rivet and strike the top of the other hammer to finish the process.(I think the rivets are soft aluminum)??

If these rivets were aluminum your suggestion may work but they are mild steel and easily bend over when hit too many times with a hammer.

Fred, can the plastic rollers be transplanted to the old regulator?? I am not sure if the diameter of the new rivet is the same, I think the plastic roller can be heated with a heat gun slightly to remove. Or maybe take a piece of metal rod and grind out the middle to form a cup and peen the rivet over with a hammer.

Replacement rollers are one-piece, originals are two-pieces. Your suggestion may work if NOS rollers were made available. Rivet size seems to be the same diameter between original and replacements. Thanks
