    67' original rear sway bar

I have an original rear sway bar that i'm putting back on the car. It was sand blasted and painted and i just noticed it has a very subtle bend or bow on one side. (only noticeable if you look down the bar) Is this anything to be concerned about? I don't know if its worth trying to heat up and pound it out straight. Besides i just painted it

Dave, I think mine has a slight bow in it. I will try to check tomorrow if others don't speak up. I would not heat it though. I would think that the bar is tempered and heating would destroy that tempering.

I would not attempt to straighten the bar, especially by heating it. As you've described it, I think you can use it as-is with no problems, at all.
