67' retaining cup on leaf spring; peened or not???

Is the retaining cup suppose to be peened over of the leaf spring? I believe it is on the trailing arm but not sure when it comes to the spring?? The 7 leaf spring i removed from the car did not have the cup peened on the leaf.....I don't know for sure if it is the original spring.

Yes, the retainers ("cups") were peened over on the spring. Some previous "servicer" omitted this step.
