    Rebuilding Choke Vacuum Diaphragm

Does anyone know if someone does this ? I can't find a choke vacuum control for my '73 L-83 - PN 7040386. I've found them for 74 & 75 L-82s which GM lists in the Parts catalog PN 7048211 - but omits a 73 Special H/Performance all together in most of catalogs. I'm not sure what the difference is between the two so I'm looking to rebuild my original.
If anybody has any ideas, let me know and thanks-

The GM #7040386 vacuum break was discontinued in November, 1980. So, it has had 34 years for the supply to dry up. I don't know of anyone that rebuilds these controls although I suppose it's theoretically possible it could be done.

If what you're interested in is a functional replacement as opposed to a 100% configurationally correct piece, here's one for you:

Actually, the above referenced is really pretty close to the original in configuration.

      Thanks Joe-

I did obtain one of those Borg Warner units but haven't installed it yet. As well I have the 74-75 Delco part however I didn't know which I should install. Again, I can't figure what the difference would be between the two GM numbers regarding functionality would be. Outwardly, the two are different.
Again, thanks and have a good weekend.
