    Michael,

I live in a little town named Micco, just north of Sebastian. It's about a hour north of Stuart. I'll be driving south, unsure yet if on I95, or the Turnpike, or the scenic A1A route. If it's a nice weather day I may take my '59 on the A1A route. If not, maybe my '07 on the I95 or Pike route. A friend will be coming with me for the ride.

Are you looking to meet others from the north to caravan down to the event?

    Rich

Howard, I will look into it - but in that area I guarantee that there are a bunch of places that are reasonable and nice. It would be great for you to come on down. Love to see you, will be great time and any time spent on a 67 is GOOD TIME.....ARA. I will try and post a link to hotels nearby on this thread (possibly with some help from the mods as I am not the most computer proficient guy in the world). Best regards. Merry Christmas, Happy Holidays and Happy New Year to everyone!!! ARA

Re: NCRS Tech Session - Ft. Lauderdale, FL on March 7th

For "reasonable" hotel accommodations, the Motel 6 at 1801 State Road 84 West, I-95 at Exit #27, Fort Lauderdale, FL 33315 is only $108 per night. It's only 1.5 miles from the Museum.

The Days Inn at 1700 W Broward Blvd, Fort Lauderdale, FL 33312 (Formerly Quality Inn Airport & Cruiseport North) is only $94 a night and is 1.5 miles from the museum.

The Hilton Ft. Lauderdale Marina Hotel at 1881 SE 17th Street, Fort Lauderdale, FL 33316 (Formerly Fort Lauderdale Grande Hotel & Yacht Club) is $189 a night and is only 1.4 miles from the museum.

Also, and for much more options and reviews, go to Trip Advisor and pull up hotels near the Museum's location. The Museum's address is 1527 SW 1st Ave, Fort Lauderdale, Florida 33315. There are literally tons of hotels within 3 miles of the museum. Some fancier than others. Totally up to you guys. Easy to get in and out of as well. Regards. ARA

Thanks for the info, I will be checking with a couple of other guys in my neighborhood and see if anyone wants to make it a road trip. Happy Holidays to you. See you in Lakeland.

Re: NCRS Tech Session - Ft. Lauderdale, FL on March 7th

Hey guys, I have been asked by a member for some "extra" time be spent on a couple of areas on the car that we are pre-flight judging. If there are items or areas of special interest to any of you and would like to take some time to go over them let me know. We may have to do that at the conclusion of the session, but I would be happy to take as much time with any of you discussing any areas that interest you. Super big thanks to Steve and his wonderful wife Ann for putting this even together for us. Regards, and HAPPY NEW YEAR.....ARA

I'll speak for Ara because he's probably babysitting or snoozing after his hard work at the Regional. Isn't that right Ara?

Royce, New member, Old member, doesn't matter.

It's just the one day so come join the fun.

Royce, Rich is right - all members are welcome. Come down. I am trying to get the attendees to get judging points for coming. I have the ball in motion, so there is a possibility that judging points will be given to all those who attend. I will work with the Florida chapter to finalize this. The numbers of registrants are up for this event. PLEASE register with Steve ASAP so we can get a handle on the number of registrants. We need a close head count to plan this event, and can't get what we need last minute so please register early with Steve.

Rich, goes without saying was SO nice to see you at the Regional. Wish we could have spent more time together over some coffee. Soon my friend....

Guys, great to report that we have even more RSVP's. Also, have confirmed a few members (along with myself) will be driving their Vettes to the event. For all the guys I spoke with in Lakeland about the event, please RSVP sooner than later so we can get a handle on the number of attendees. Thanks so much, it's looking like it's going to be wonderful event. ARA

Ed, you let the cat out of the bag....LOL....Your enthusiasm is infectious.....I love it...Guys, I am in the process of attempting to get a judging point for all the attendees at the event. However, nothing is confirmed yet as I have to go through the proper channels and follow the proper procedures. Looks promising though. As soon as I get an approval of the judging points, I will let all of you know. Numbers are going up nicely for attendees....and more than a few are driving their Vettes to the session. I am working diligently (after I put the baby down) with Steve Torp and his great wife Ann (who get all the credit for this event as they are the ones who took the initiative to set it up) along with the hard working co-chairs of the Florida chapter Joel and Loreen to get this set up, finalized and approved. I will keep all of you posted. Regardless, it's shaping up to be a BLAST. I am also personally putting up a nice, vintage Corvette item for the person who comes to the event from the furthest distance. Cool item.....We can't wait to all of you there.....Regards....ARA....More info and updates to come....
