    Non Ethanol Fuel Vendor Listing

Does anyone have handy the website address of the nationwide list of Service Stations that handle non-ethanol gas?

My vendor in St. Cloud , FL had a major pump failure and can't get his gas out of the ground. I'm down to a one way trip now, so need to find an alternative source. I googled for it, but got a lot of dead end information. IT sent me to one of our biggest off brand stations, which I visited. They sent me to another one of their locations and I got a "what's that?" Good thing I was driving my rabbit, and not my jack rabbit. This off brand does not list their phone numbers, only fax's. Go figure.

Pure-gas.org is the definitive web site listing stations that sell pure gasoline in the U.S. and Canada.

      Thank you Daniel!

I found two stations even closer. There is even a Mobil station claiming both 91 and 110 octane (must be racing fuel), but the ride there would be thru a lot of heavy traffic areas.

This is exactly what I was looking for. I'll make a note of them and leave it in my Vette.

      Thanks again.

Stu, if you have iPhone, there is a "pure gas" ap that you can download and use on the road.

My experience with that site, while limited, has not been good.
          1) first location I was guided to had no alcohol free gasoline, and I got the "what's that" question
          2) second one had alcohol free gasoline at 87 octane. Not too good for the Z06.
          3) station (after much searching. It was way off the beaten path) had alcohol free gasoline at 87 octane. Not too good for the Z06.

At that I gave up. I would advise you make contact with the location to be sure they have the product you want.

Several Racetracs (newer ones) in Central Fl now carry it. Got several all at once in Orlando

Terry-- I purchase our 91 octane alcohol free fuel at a Phillips 66 station in Oglesby, Il. It's right off Rt. 39/51 at (I think) exit 54. I got some there last week ($3.25 gal.) . We use this alcohol free gas in our '13 Grand Sport and it delivered 29 mpg! Oh yea--it's top tier fuel too. I am lucky enough to pass this station on our way home from our son's house once a week.

Thanks for the responses. I will drive to a large Racetrack station today with my street car to check first, but I too noted that most have only 87 Octane which would cause me to tip the can a little more in my mix. I really want to check out the station that lists 91 and 110 ! My regular source in St.Cloud handles 90 Octane which I have a good formula for. Hope he has his pump fixed soon. I hate to waste any of our cool season weather.

Fine for you Jake, but my first experience was with a listing in Hanover IL when I was going to the Illinois Chapter Meet in Galena. Second was in Monticello, IL as I traveled south on I57. Last was in Bowling Green KY. Last time I looked (when it was warmer out) the closest listed station to my home was 57 miles away, and after my earlier experiences I wouldn't think of going there without calling first to be sure of what they have.
I give it three strikes and your out.

While fully understanding that E10 can cause driveability problems on some older Corvettes in some areas of the country, why are you guys driving out of your way to find the usually more expensive E0 for the newer cars?

I think somehow I'll regret asking this.

                        To: Bob H.

I'm looking for a source open all week end. I hope the Racetrack on Curry Ford and Dean works out. My St. Cloud source is only open on Sat. AM until noon. I don't like to drive during the week due to the traffic and my deminished vision. Guess I'll try the Cadillac eye surgery soon, Ha!

                          Premium wherever I am.

I wanted to experiment and see if non-alcohol gave better fuel mileage, but with only 87 octane non-leaded available I would have two variables (octane and alcohol) and I wanted only one variable at a time. I couldn't achieve those parameters.

No regrets from me. As I told Larry I wanted to experiment, but wanted only one variable at a time. I couldn't achieve that with the 87 octane non-alcohol. None of the stops I made were significantly out of my way (once I located the fuel depots). Those that I found the posted non-alcohol those two locations (Monticello and Bowling Green) were fuel depots and not on main roads, but not more than a mile or three out of my way.

Neither location I found had attendants and both appeared to be "open" 24 hours in that one could make a purchase using a credit/debit card at any time.
