1970 LT1 Original Oil Pan and Timing Cover Hardware bolt headmarks?

Hi All,

Can anyone advise the original headmarks that were used on a late production 70 LT1 oil pan and timing chain cover? I have "L","EL" and a few others. Where they typically mixed?

Hi Dave,
The fasteners on my Jan 71 sb timing cover and oil pan haven't ever been off the engine.
The timing cover bolts are all 'L' marked.
On the oil pan the small bolts are mixed 'L' and 'EB' marked, while the four larger bolts are 'EB' marked.

All the small bolts have a 'star' washer while the larger bolts have a 'split' washer.

Correction my bolts are mostly "L" and "EB" as well.
