1967 windshield thickness bought in 1971 from dealer!

Thought this posted lastnite. I read that the repo windshield thickness was .291 and the original was .353.
I measured the one I bought from the Chevy dealer I worked for in 1971 and it was .388 thick! It installed OK and the weather strip gap seemed to agree with that thickness.
I did not find any markings on the glass so I am wondering if the dealership bought from local venders or if the replacement was actually that thick and had no markings?

That's what I figured. That may also explain the thicker glass. I seem to remember that I wanted a tinted window and the parts department didn't have one.
