There's a thread on the NCRS Disc Board about the Bill Mitchell COPO 67 Convertible built for his wife. White/Red with side exhaust. It was recently at auction by Mecum, 2009 and 2000. History claims Mitchell walked this car down the assembly line in 67 during assembly. Does anyone know of any pictures that may exist of this Mitchell event at St Louis? Thanks, Rick 5882

Re: Mitchell COPO 67 Convert Pics
It came down the line with whatever RPOs he ordered (custom work is NOT done on the line), and all the modifications were done at the Tech Center. Now he COULD have ridden herd over that effort, and I would opine that he very likely did.

Bill Mitchell was a very big fish in those days...he or one of his minions would have the plant manager ensure the vehicle was followed closely and checked carefully prior to shipping it North to Michigan.Last edited by John D.; November 19, 2014, 06:43 PM.- Top
