1995 Center Wheel Caps for Joe Lucia or Pat Fullam

What is the correct part number for the 95 sawblades wheels center caps? They appear to have a machined polish finish and the 95 Pace Car wheel center caps have a duller finish (I think). What is the part number for the 1995 Pace Car center caps (for the spoke wheels)?

Trying to distinguish the differences. I have come across the one in the photo which indicated part number GM #10137865 and it appears to have a silver matted finish, but I have a set that contains the same part number and it has a more polish finish (see picture below). Did the GM #10137865 come in two finishes?

Ed, I forwarded an email from Dave King for you and I looked at my center caps and they are all 10137885. The finish matches the wheel.

Pat, did you mean 10137865 or 885?

So what's the number on Dave's center caps. Do we have two finishes for 10137865?

The GM #10137865 caps were used with the "painted" wheels, either the 91-92 "sawblade" or the 91-95 "spoke" ZR1 wheels.

The 93-96 "brushed aluminum" "sawblade" wheels used cap GM #10194327.

Joe, are the GM #10194327 still being sold? Also, why do I have original center caps that bare the #10137865 and they are "brushed aluminum?" Look at the picture of the sawblade in my first post.

Ed, my caps are 10137885, 10137885. Additional they have the casting of PPYO and SRI on all the caps.
Also on two caps have a number two cast on it , on another cap there is a number 3 and on another cap there is a number 4.

Well that's interesting. According to Joe there's #10137865 and GM #10194327. You are coming up with a third part number, Are you using your glasses?

Ed, if you weren't such a good friend I would think you were making fun of these old eyes.

Just to prove you wrong, I took a magnifying glass down to the basement and guess what? These eyes, even with the glasses are going.

The correct cap number is 10137865. You were right, I was wrong.

                  Owe you.

OK, now were're cooking. You just confirmed the confusion. That number is suppose to be for the silver finish and you and I have the same cap with the same number with a aluminum brushed finished. So I go back to my original question that has not been answered, are there two finishes to part #10137865. Look at the first picture I posted with the same number, it has a silver painted finish with your same part number.

The number found on any part is not necessarily the part number for the finished part. In this case, the 10137865 "came first". In its case, the actual part number was embossed on the rear of the cap. The "brushed aluminum" cap came along in 1993. I suspect the same molding was used as a base for it and it retained the embossed number 10137865 which was no longer the part number for the finished piece.

The GM #10194327 remains available from GM (for about 65 bucks, each, GM list).
