On my 69 (427/L71) I found a heat riser valve with B392442 stamped on the counter weight. The B maybe a 3 ?? Reading on this forum I see the GM part number for this heat riser should be 3969903. Can anyone explain these numbers I found on my heat riser valve? Thx Wes

Wes------
Numbers found on the counterweight represent the casting number for the counterweight and not the part number for the heat riser valve ASSEMBLY. Heat riser valves do not have the part number for the assembly to be found anywhere on them. The 1969 big block heat riser valve was unique to 1969 Corvette big blocks. That's because 1969 was the only year Corvette that ever used a 2" exhaust for big block applications. In Appreciation of John Hinckley- Top
