Can someone please tell me what is the o.e. back space size of wheels on a 65 coupe are & is there any wheel co. (bolt on knock off style) offering the same backspace size.
    Thanks

Offset on all '63-'66 steel wheels is +0.44". KOs (including the adapter) and all '67 wheels are +0.06".

      Charlie,

The offset of a 65-66 15 X 5 1/2" wheel is 7/16" as shown in my drawing. The backspacing can be computed from this as the gross width of the wheel is about 6 9/16" more or less.
      Approximate Backspacing = 6.56"/2 + 0.44" = 3.72" or 3 3/4" more or less

      Dave

The 63-64 wheels have the same 7/16" offset and 3 3/4" backspacing.

According to 1965-69 Chevrolet by the numbers the 65 Corvette Alum. wheel (15X6L) has an offset of 0.44".
            Therefore, the approximate backspacing would be 7.0"/2 + 0.44" = 3.94" or probably 4".

Including the adapter the effective offset is +0.06" - same as the '67 Rally and bolt-on aluminum wheels.
