    Coil Spring part#

I'm replacing the Original coil springs on my 72 base coupe
What do you guys suggest? I'm leaning toward MOOG
I have no issues with the factory springs but I thought I would replace them while I do the CA bushings.

    Thanks,Barry

    Hi Barry,
If the front ride height is close to the dimensions shown in the AIM and the Chassis Service Manual I'd be hesitant about changing the springs needlessly.
Quite a few owners report problems with getting the car to sit 'down' at the spec'd ride height with new springs.
Some cars that have had both front and rear springs changed sit quite high and look a bit like they're been converted for "off road usage".
Hopefully you'll get some other's thoughts too.
    Regards,
    Alan

Unless the springs have significant corrosion, like heavy pitting and notches, don't replace them. Just clean off the surface rust and apply a corrosion resistant coating if you like.

As stated many "replacement" springs create nothing but problems.

Springs don't "wear out", but severe corrosion can lead to lose of spring rate, ride height, and eventual fracture.
