Saturday November 9th the Michigan Chapter and the Mid-Ohio Chapter along with Pro-Team hosted the Corvette Performance Evolution Seminar. Attendance this year was down from last year and that is a shame. The seminar was hosted at Pro-Team in Napoleon, OH within driving distance of a lot of NCRS members.
Session I - Development and Evolution of Braking Systems on Corvette 24 Hour Endurance Speed Record with a production ZR-1 CorvetteGary Cline-Mercruiser LT-5 Project Engineering Mgr., Greg Fadler-Aerodynamic Engineering Mgr., Darrelle Haugen, Delco Morraine Engineering Mgr., John Heinracy-Corvette Development Mgr., Tim Holland-Lotus Engineering Development and Calibration Mgr., Mgr., Gib Hufstader-LT-5 Coordinator, Dave McLellan- Corvette Chief Engineer, Jim Minneker-Corvette Powertrain Systems Engineer
Just the chance to sit and listen to the guys that were there doing amazing things for out beloved Corvette share their stories of success and failures that they went through was fantastic. Getting to meet and and ask questions of these guys is a once in a lifetime opportunity for most of us.
Special thanks to Werner Meier, Mike Treece and Terry Michaelis for their work in setting this up.
Word is that next year about this time the fourth annual seminar will be held at the same location. It will probably have some new panelists but I am sure that whatever they are able to put together will be worth anyone's effort to attend.
