Not sure what I did?
Courtesy lights all worked. Noticed this week that the rear courtesy light was out, removed bulb, bulb was burned out. Both foot well courtesy lights still working. Pulled new bulb from parts bin, disconnected battery, installed new rear courtesy bulb, connected battery, all courtesy lights are now out. Removed newly installed bulb, noticed new bulb had a single pin terminal on the bottom instead of the two pin terminal that the original GE 90 bulb had. Re-installed burned out GE 90 bulb, connected battery, still no foot well courtesy lights. Checked fuse (20A Clock, Cig Lighter, Court. Lights), fuse good, Clock and Cig Lighter still working. Pulled foot well bulbs, both bulbs look good (filament in place) and show continuity with Volt Ohm Meter. Played with both door courtesy light switches, even though I only had one door open and courtesy lights were working prior to bulb change.
I figured I blew the fuse when I stuck in the single pin terminal bulb by accident, but fuse, clock, lighter are all still working. What am I missing that separates the courtesy lights from the fuse and clock-lighter circuit. My understanding is the lights are wired in parallel so that any one (or two) of the three bulbs can burn out while the others remain on. How did I somehow short the circuit so that all lights remain off?
Am I missing the obvious? (I don't have enough hands to start a wire by wire troubleshooting tonight)
TIA.
Mike
