Spare tire and wheel fitment

I looked in the archives but did not confirman ab abswer. Will a 775x15 bias ply tire mounted on a repro 67 bolt on wheel fir in the tire tub or would that require extra long bolts? Thanks

I'll assume you are using a 775x15 black wall repop. For some reason the diameter of the black repro seem to run on the big side. It will fit but the tire will stick to the original tub went removing. i was able to fit it in my '65 (67 repro bolt ons) but it did hang up upon dropping the lid. I have std length bolts.

Thanks Gene. It is a 775x15 bias ply redline. I assume that it would be the same as the black wall.

Robert, it should be fine. I had 2 reproduction red line bias ply's in each of my 67's for years until I found some non-dots.... ARA

If it doesn't fit take it to a shop with a tread shaving machine and remove however many 32nds as necessary for it to fit with enough clearance that it doesn't hang up.
