Re: NCRS President
Just to be perfectly clear, the actual resignation statement reads: "As of this day November 1, 2014 I resign my position as the NCRS President and as the Region 1 Director. I feel that without the complete support of the board and constant turmoil of trying to do what is best for NCRS I am not the person to lead NCRS.".- Top

Re: NCRS President
Our club, it seems, is certainly in a time of turmoil. Just like everyone else, I feel I know some of the root causes. NCRS is the de facto most influential old car club on the planet, when it comes to judging and education.
NCRS has been, overwhelmingly, a joy to me for decades and I will be a faithful member until such time I am no longer physically able to be so. As Gary Chesnut rightfully reminds us, this is not the venue to express non-technical concerns. Unfortunately, for now, the typical path yields few results. It is my hope our club will gain its footing and soon get back on the centerline.
Regards,

Seems to me we need to bring some of the turmoil to a vote of the membership. Regional Directors should not be forced to duke it out on every emotional issue. When we have good honest people who try to do the job just throw in the towel and walk away, we have some serious issues. Today is election day and there were items on my ballot besides who to put in office. If it works for local government, it will work here too.
If we can't take a separate issue to a vote of the membership, I would at least expect regional directors to solicit the opinions of those they represent. It hasn't happened yet. Unless we know what the uproar is about how do we express an opinion?
Mike, You have a tough row to hoe.. I hope you are up for it.
