Re: 1969 headlight actuator rebuild
Jeff, These style actuators where really not made to rebuild, however there is one part that commonly fail's, There is a boot on the front of the actuator that can deteriorate, and will cause the actuator to stop working. If this part fails the vacuum will leak around the shaft that pulls the door open and closes it. this part is available from some of the corvette venders.Last edited by Edward J.; October 30, 2014, 07:30 PM.New England chapter member, 63 Convert. 327/340- Chapter/Regional/national Top Flight, 72 coupe- chapter and regional Top Flight.- Top

Re: 1969 headlight actuator rebuild
Do you have contact info Bob Demmel? I want the originals rebuilt because even NOS replacements ( which I have on the car now) are different than originals. Originals have a smaller inlet and outlet tubes on them. I also want them to look new and not just function. Any contact info would be great. Thanks! Jeff- Top

NCRS Tech board cliff notes:
Click on Radio button above COMMUNITY. Second option is MEMBER LIST. Click that and search for Bob (list is alphabetical by given name) and then alphabetical by surname for all the Bobs. Then you can chose to send him an email.Terry- Top

Re: 1969 headlight actuator rebuild
...then, you apply for a passcode. The administrator will send you a passcode within 48 hours. With the passcode, you must log in using a backup computer. Once logged in, enter the passcode and, within 24 hours, another administrator will contact you on one the the two computers you used previously. Once your identity has been verified (same calendar day, if submitted by 0900 EST) you can ask the administer for permission to contact Bob. Once that is accomplished...Kramden- Top

You are trying to be funny (poor attempt), but the reality is worse. Do you look for Bob or Robert? I solved that for Jeff, but at great expense of time and clicks while you were wasting your clicks. What are you going to do when you run out of clicks?
You will be clickless and condemned to silence. Oh the humanity!Terry- Top

To get directly to a certain member without scrolling through all the "Bob" or "Robert" entries, click on the "Community" heading, click "Member" list. At right you will find "Search Members". Click it and an "Advanced Search" box opens. Enter full name and search.
