C1 correct engine

1959 245hp (2x4). J59S 100926 Approx. Nov 11/58.

Engine casting date E 158. Engine block 3737739. Engine i.d. stamping F 1029 CT.

Could this be the correct engine? Thanks Steve.

It's remotely possible, but certainly not "typical", to have a block casting sit around at Flint V-8 for almost six months without being touched.

Agree........... I'd like to see a picture of both the stamp pad and the casting date.
