    1968 Fuel/Brake line clips

I'm trying to use over what I can on this restoration but when it comes to these clips I think it would be faster and quite cheaper to purchase correct cad plated clips. I've looked at quite a few companies and I havnent found cad plated ones that are close. Paragon has gold plated ones and 68 is supposed to be silver. The front carrier brake line clamps have an " E " on them. Thank you for any input.
One last thing, I would like to use the original brass blocks over. Is there any way to clean, then polish ? Jeff.image.jpg

    Jeff,
I don't think you will find clips w/the letter stamping. But that detail can be stamped in. Un-roll the form and stamp it in. I don't know who the vendor is but I was able to obtain correct formed clips w/zinc finish. Also the twin line clips for the fuel lines was in the kit.

You could bead blast the original clips and sent them to the plater for zinc plating.

      Hi Jeff,
On the blocks on my 71 I used a soft brass wire wheel, then some fine steel wool, and finally some 40 year old Brasso polish left over from my Army experiences.
I'd think new brass polish would work too.
I sprayed a little semi-flat clear on them so I wouldn't have to polish them again.
      Regards,
      Alan

Thanks Gene, I thought of blasting and plating. I thought there might be a good reproduction on the clips but all the vendors I've looked at have different versions.
Alan, all the posts I have read I never looked at the number. Quite a while ago. Thank you for your advise the block looks great.
