63 A/C Help

A bit embarrassed to ask but............

A few parts I took off my 63 A/C car that I can't remember where they go. They are probably the same as 64 and 65. Anyway, they all need to go back on this comimg spring.

Can you identify where they go. The screw does not fit with the three clamps.

I believe the top (green clamp) holds the expansion valve capillary tube with the "J" hook to the top line on evaporator line and is covered by the insulating material. Seems like it gets a screw to hold the clamp together.

Page is correct about the green clamp. The other clamp may go to the expansion valve. Harry, hope you remember where you put this information when you start back this spring. Have you looked in the AIMS?

Thanks, I went through the AIM and the shop manual before I posted. Probably several more times today.

The middle one looks like it might go on the evaporators top tube and holds the expansion valve bulb to it. Where it gets wrapped by asphalt tape as the tube just comes out of the evaporator cover.

Later models typically had two of those clamps.
Just an idea.

I got the answers! The three clamps are all associated with the expansion valve. Green holds the sending unit under the tape goop. The small one holds the two lines tight against the inner fender and the large one holds the main body to the evaporator box.

The screw is for the STV clamp.
