I know there is information in the past about this subject. I want to get an original 1963 clock rebuilt with the original mechanical works. Does anyone have any recent experience with one of the vendors. Thanks, Jeff

Re: Resent experience with C2 clock rebuilders
Bill Harrison recently restored my '66 dash cluster including my clock. Top notch work. He restored my clock to be an original "tick-tock" and it keeps accurate time. http://harrisonspeedometer.com/- Top

Re: Resent experience with C2 clock rebuilders
I'm glad your thread title changed the spelling of Resent to Recent. I jumped on it right away as have considered having my clock redone, and there seems to only be just a few vendors and the ones I've inquired with wanted an arm and a leg. Not that I resent their making a buck on their work, but I'm through with judging and am not too concerned if my clock works well or not. I put in the solid state works some time ago, but my hands don't work too well (slip or stick), so I asked for a quote to fix that and, well, it's not worth it to me.
Hope you are successful in your endeavor.

Re: Resent experience with C2 clock rebuilders
I had my 63 clock repaired recently I sent it to a company and they told me the metal on the hands had deteriorated and they would not stay in place. I searched for replacement hands and couldn't find them finally someone told me to send the clock to D & M Restorations which I did and they were able to get my old clock hands installed and the clock works fine now and the turn around time for the repair was very good.- Top

Jeff,
I see that you are in CA. Mike Poirier did my cluster and clock (66) and is in San Diego. He does fantastic work and is very fair on price. His contact is 619-461-1952 and is on the Web at Valley Vettes (www.valleyvettes.net). He is retired and may have a backlog, but I would give him my business again without hesitating.Rob
