Battery Installation in 1963

Hello, this might seem like a dumb question but I want to make sure that I get it right. I am putting together a 63 SWC and am about to install the battery into the battery tray. However, I want to make sure that I put it in correctly and not backwards. Which side does the positive terminal face and which side does the negative terminal face? I appreciate your help! Thanks!

The negative (-) terminal goes outboard, under the fender, and the positive (+) terminal goes inboard, closer to the engine, as shown in your Assembly Manual.

Thanks for the clarification! I checked the assembly manual and found a picture of the battery but it still wasn't clear which side was positive and which was negative! I appreciate your help!Thanks
