    63-64 frame pull dates

Hello, I am trying to decipher the pull dates for 63-63 frame stencils. I know the JG says handwritten, but I have photo documentation that it was stenciled....i just cant decipher it. An example would read in stencil white paint....3-5-4, which sounds easy, but I have located 2 64's that the stencil starts with a 2. So please, if someone knows the correct sequence let me know. And yes, I did look at the Intentor website. Thanks

Handwritten and upside down. The date should probably be two working days prior to the cars build date.

Is that a photo of an untestored frame?

Restored. I'll look for pictures of Bowtie cars later today.

Yes, please look for photos of unrestored 63-64 frame dates. Photos of restored frames do not help as I am going against the grain of what the JG says.

Hi Boyan, I restored a nice 64 Coupe back in 83, had all it's crayon shim marks, frame stencil, etc. What I never found was a 'pull date' either hand written or stenciled. Happy hunting!

                    Re: 63-64 frame pull dates

My early '64 (#347) has the stenciled date on it. It reads 2-9-5. I assume the 9-5 translates to September 5. I'm not sure what the significance of the 2 is.

I have photos of similar stenciled pull dates on two other '64's. This one reads 1-4-30 and is on the frame of VIN 171XX:

The date on the other '64 (VIN 204XX) was present, but not well preserved enough to make out all of the characters. It appears to have started with the number 1 though.

Dan and Todd, thank you for the replies. Yes, the photos posted are in my file. I have an additional photo of a May car with a stencil of 3-5-4......which would be OK for May,4 1963...just a strange format. My original 63 was a stencil, but it was too worn for me to decipher it. I knew the location, but didnt realize the format was odd or I would have tried to preserve it. In all the photos I have seen, it seems the middle number corresponds to the month. The 64 format really throws me off!

My mid May car has 1-5-3 as can be seen in this thread:

Im convinced the the middle number is month, semi convinced the last number is day......and totally confused on the first number since your 63 is a 1 and in 64 there was a 1 also. Maybe it was the shift number? As the only numbers we have seen are 1,2 and 3.
