    1967 turn signal blinking

The left blinker is faster than the right. I have checked four different ting sol flashers. Some turn the right light on but does not allow it to blink. Original 323 tung sol allows blinker to work but slow on right normal on the left. Any suggestions?

I know its like asking someone if it's plugged in, but have you check to make sure they are the same bulbs on either side.

You may have a "ground" problem on one side. The turn flasher is used in both side circuits so it isn't a suspect. Using the emergency flashers, are the lights brighter on one side vs. the other? This could indicate a bad ground. And as suggested, are the bulbs correct/in good condition/connection?

The Hazard flashers seem to be equal on each side. At first I was worried about he turn switch was not functioning because the lights worked but would not flash. I was relieved when I put in an original tung sol and got it to flash at all. The bulbs are all new (they are reproduction tail lights and turn lights) but they are from China. I replaced the front bulb with a nice GE 1157 (probably also made in china) because it looked more american made. When the signal does flash it does appear to have a draw on the power (interior lights slightly dim when door was open during testing) on the slow flash right side. Where should I look for ground issues? at the tail lamp?

These types of problems are difficult to solve. I'd check the grounds at all locations including the sockets themselves. A slight dimming of the interior lights is normal. You may also want to check all the associated contacts on the 12v side. On cars this old with original wiring corrosion is a problem. When I restored my car I beadblasted all the wiring connections in the various harnesses. Couldn't believe how much brighter ALL the lights were. And I didn't think I had a corrosion problem.....

The rate of flash is dependent on the resistance of the lamp circuit. You need to start with the correct bulbs in all four corners. Ideally you want American made bulbs, but those may be a thing of the past. At least you want four correct bulbs -- that is the correct number per your owner's manual.

If that doesn't even out the rate on both sides, you will need to hunt down the high resistance connection. That is easiest done by using a voltmeter (digital auto ranging works best) to test for voltage drops. I believe there are videos on You Tube showing how to do this, but I am blocked from You Tube at work (I can't imagine why they do that. ) so I cannot provide you a link until I get home.

I've seen bad new lamps. Terry is right, change all 6 together.

Funky Intrenet at home last night. Go to www.youtube.com and search for "voltage drop test" -- there are oiver a dozen videos to chose from. Take your pick.

Agreed, I had the exact same problem. Rt side slower than left. Emergency flashers all good. I swapped rt side bulbs with left side and moved the problem. Replaced all 6 bulbs at 1 time with new/same bulbs and problem solved.
