Hi NCRS Members,
With fresh rebuilt 2x4 put gas down carbs to dry start, ran about 4-seconds. Did this at least 4-times. Disconnected fuel lines to remove fresh rebuilt, number matching fuel pump rebuilt by big name Corvette supplier. Gas line was bone dry. Put back old Holley mechanical fuel pump pushing 7.5 pounds. Put gas down carbs; car quickly started to run on old fuel pump.
Why did the fuel pump not work. I did remove screws and change clocking for proper in and out fuel line connection location. Maybe stock fuel pump has a fraction shorter arm that doesn't touch the rod, as compared to the Holley?
Aloha,
Eric
