Re: "Invoice" laugh of the day, can you find the errors?

St Louis lost $409.90 in options on that one, but there's more..... Somebody missed a few buttons on the old adding machine. Human error I guess, maybe somebody got distracted.

Total options equal $920.55, not $511.05, ($409.50) in error.

    $5333.50(base car + dest) + $920.55 options = $6254.05..... Correct invoice total.

But.....when they added $5333.50 + their erroneous total of $511.05 in options, that should have been $5844.55, not the $6141.05 which is shown.

The invoice total charged was $6141.05, so that's off by $296.50 from their previous error.
($6141.05 - $5844.55 = $296.50). So their error got compounded back in St Louis favor with another error.

The invoice total should have been $6254.55. The invoice total actually charged was $6141.05

So really, St Louis only lost $113.50 on the sale.

    Rich
.....and I did this with just 1 coffee.

I had my turn, somebody else give a look.

(BTW, I had to magnify it about 10x so I could read it)

I see a couple of more but in the interest of not helping the faker I decided not to post. Math errors are one thing but incorrect presentation is another.

There is hardly anything right with it.
I'll give these comments which most repro makers already know about.
I don't know the year but the form is wrong regardless but I'm guessing 67 since I see side exhaust. All the fonts are wrong. 6 digit dealer code? I've never seen that but then again I'm really only very familiar with 69s.

Is his "Auxillary Hard Top" anything like an "Auxiliary Hard Top"?

Can't read it too small, enlarging makes it too blurred.

I think the math errors are just a repop discount.

I hope this was not presented as original...........

See I needed more coffee........I didn't know that it was fake. Just thought it was the math. Darn, I worked hard to figure that out alone.

So.......I just got another one after a Dunkin' Donuts Ice Coffee just now coming back from NAPA...... I'm awake now.

                  RPOA31 Power Antenna ........(HUH?)

Wow, how'd I miss that one. A31 is Power Windows, and they never had a PW OPTION on a midyear. It was Standard on '65/'66 if U69 was ordered, and '67 was a fixed mast, right? And was "RPO" right on the invoice? If like the order copy, wouldn't it be the ECL code prefix, not RPO.

I'm so embarrassed I missed that one. I need to go to Invoice and Order Copy school.

edit...... here's a blowup and clearer image(best I could get) of the options

Glad you got your ice coffee & donut Rich! :^)
Now you can study up on how M35 can not go with N14

Gene, A seller presented this as his 'documentation' that he received from the prior owner.

                      Jim,
It is just like restamed blocks as it passes from owner to owner all the sudden it is "original engine".

I was wondering about that but wasn't sure so I kept quiet.

Maybe we better keep the nitty gritty details "under-the-wire" like Strick mentioned.

                        loose lips sink ships?

I agree with the "under-the-wire" details that are not published. In this example it is published in Nolan's book ;-)

Invoice? It looks like a feeble attempt to replicate a Monroney Sticker.
