New England Chapter member Jack Morocco has come up with a very interest site regarding corvette history.
Read the message below, should be of interest to all NCRS members.
Thanks Jack
Hi Dick,
Hope all is well... it was nice seeing you in Marlboro (though I was mainlyoutside helping with secure parking). Recently, I discovered the 'Revs Digital Library' atStanford University... this is a large project to digitize automotive material.
Although you can select 'Corvette' from the 'MODEL' dropdown menu on theleft side (265 images), I found that typing 'corvette' into the 'SEARCH'field yielded 483 results (though some are not relevant). Here is an example ofa 'corvette' search... showing 100 images per page: CLICKHERE
You have the ability to ZOOM into these images in FULL SCREENmode (some nice original engine compartments, prototypes and old racingphotos), but you can't save the images unless you have proper access. Thenagain, you can possibly do a 'screen capture' if there was something ofimportance to note.
I have no idea if the NCRS is aware of this project... or if judges/memberswill find any interest with these historical images (mostly B&W). Also, people with significant knowledge have the ability to add relevant informationvia the 'FEEDBACK' link on the top-right of each page. Feel free to pass alongthis email... just trying to help our hobby.
Take care,
Jack Morocco (18851)
