Re: Decode protecto plate
As stated above the pad picture needs to be high resolution. If painted I would become suspicious as anyone with knowledge of these cars knows how important that pad looks and that a knowledgeable buyer would INSIST it be bare for close examination. Take a closeup of the firewall between the brake booster and distributor and check to see if it has electronic ignition. The amp box should be located underneath the left headlight area and is mounted to the front of the inner fender well. Take a pic from the front with the hood open and a picture from the rear inside the fender well. Simply turn the wheel so you can take that pic. Take a pic of the rear differential concentrating on where the half shafts connect to it. Take a close up pic of the fuel line where it comes up to the fuel pump on the right front of the engine.
Taking a pad pic can be difficult so take more than one straight on and at an angle. Take the vin and trim tag pics straight on and make sure a f\lash doesn't wash out the pics.
This will assist some really smart guys on here in directing you further
This is a car that should demand big money if it checks out as real. The seller should be more than accommodating to you, As mentioned by others, this is likely the most counterfeited car so proceed carefully and good luck
