The 67 I have was originally the black/white interior, but was converted to saddle by the prior owner. He left the knobs "white" which stand out. I would like to swap out the knobs with saddle. Found articles how to do that swap, but I am having trouble finding just the knobs. Any leads or suppliers? I would like to retain the original handles. I guess last resort is to change out all the cranks. And I know, another question on window crank knobs, But thanks for any advice. Thanks,

I don't see any need to maintain the original window crank handles when you have a car with otherwise completely non-original interior. I would say the best plan is to remove and preserve the original window crank handles for the day when an original color interior is restored to the car. As it stands now, the window crank handles are going to be the least of your problem as far as judging is concerned. So, just obtain a set of reproduction window crank handles with saddle knobs to use on the car now.In Appreciation of John Hinckley- Top

Re: Window Crank Knobs 67
Joe the problem is that the repro crank handles are not the best quality and I had experienced them just to fall off. After I had mine fall off I found better orginal cranks and no problems. Unles you know of a better source for the cranks- Top

Keith-------
I was unaware the reproduction crank handles were that bad. In that case, doesn't someone sell the saddle-colored knobs separately? I still would not advise Dwayne to modify his existing handles with new knobs. I'd preserve them for an eventual restoration of the interior (by him or someone else). Then, if the saddle knobs are available, find another set of GM window crank handles and add the saddle knobs. These handles can be found on other GM cars besides Corvette. In Appreciation of John Hinckley- Top

Re: Window Crank Knobs 67
I have not found just the knobs. He could buy the repro handles just for the knobs. Then swap them out on anther crank. I have four saddle crank handles for my car. What I am doing is trying to find a good looking handles to swap. I too would not attempt to do anything to the original white knob cranks.- Top

I figure the white knob cranks are probably a lot more rare than the saddle. In Appreciation of John Hinckley- Top
