    1969 GM strike

I realize there was a long strike at GM in 1969 which led to the large number of Corvettes built as Delorean wanted to fill as many orders as he could and make up some of the time lost, but my question is was there an increase in price for the Corvette when production resumed?

Yes there was. The strike started on April 10th, 1969 and lasted 8 weeks (with another 2 weeks to ramp back up completely). The result of that strike saw an increase of $90.00 starting in September, 1969.

I figured as much Ed. GM must have lost a bundle to be shut down so long. I came home from Vietnam in December 1969. My dealer had several new 69 Corvettes on the lot, but I bought a low mileage 1967 for $3200. I had saved a bundle being overseas for so long, but spending $5k on a new Corvette was more then I could comprehend!
