C2 Door Windows Assembly How-To?

Is there somewhere a nice piece of documentation on how to put the side vent and main door windows in the doors of a C2 (1963), thing to cover: order of assembly, tips and hints, FAQ's, lessons learned, etc?

Rob, be careful with the wing vent frames, they can scratch the paint if not careful. Put masking tape on outside of top of door etc. Slow and easy and it all goes together.

ROB,I can't tell if you have a coupe or conv. but you will get the info. you need from member #37730 Dave A Zuberer,his article was in the 2004 "Mid Year corvette Door Glass" article.I found it very helpful when doing my coupe doors.

Rob, Coupe or Convertible? I did this on our '63 coupe a few years ago, and on a '67 convertible after that.

I have some photos of the sequence I can send you. I also have a '63 CSM I can scan some pages for you until you get your hardcopy. Drop me a PM with your email addr if you'd like, and I'll send the info over.

Rob, I've been "assembling" a tech ref library of "how to" procedures for a C2 as I just recently purchased a 64 convertible. I happen to have come across and save two reference that include procedures or tips on installing glass in the doors of a C2. I am desperately trying to "attach" the files to this reply but for some reason I do not have an "attach file" icon imbedded in the thread reply dialogue box. If you would like I can e mail them directly to you. One of the two articles comes from the Corvette Restorer. Ed

Dave Zuberer's article that several responses refer to is in the PDF file that I attached (above) and titled "Door Restoration". I found another article regarding door and window repairs - I copied it to a word document for my convenience. I tried to attach the word doc to this thread but the forum protocol's will not allow it because the file exceeds the program limit. This file is not all that large - only 300 kb. It has imbedded pics - that is what makes it large - but also helpful. If you want a copy let me know and I will e mail it to you directly.
