Insurance -American Modern Insurance Group (National Corvette Museum Insurance)

I know there has been a lot of discussion about insurance.

Does anyone have any thoughts and/or claim experience on the insurance offered through the National Corvette Museum. I believe the insurance company is American Modern Insurance Group. Their quote for identical coverage is almost $200/year cheaper than Hagerty.

American Modern from what I can find has not gotten good reviews.

Any comment or input would be appreciated.

I have discussed putting my 96 convertible on with Adam Boca from the Museum. It will cost me around $228.00 per year which is a little less than Hagerty. I have had my LT-1 and my 67 GTO with Hagerty and was happy with them. Fortunately, I have not had any issues where I needed to use it. However, to me it is not just the cost, but will they be there when you need them.

i have my 70 challenger insured with them (as well as other cars)

great INS comp, rates were fair.

Please give us a link to those reviews. I've been with AMI for many years (never had a claim) but have heard nothing but good reviews from those that have had claims. Adam Boca has many of them posted on his site..

I have 5 cars insured with them and fortunately I do not have any claim experience with them. All are insured at agreed value. I purchased it through MK Insurance who is a site sponsor over at www.yenko.net. MK has a forum over there and you may be able to get some info on American Modern to help you in your decision. I've been with American Modern for 5 years or so after having been with J. C. Taylor for many years. AM was a fair amount cheaper with better coverage, hence the switch. I do know that some members over at the Yenko site have had claims and report that they were very happy with the service and results. As I said, I have not had any claims experience with them and hope that I don't.

You won't see too many vendors posting bad reviews on their sites. Tends to drive customers away..........

I use NCM insurance for my cars. Never had a claim so I can't comment on their process.

USAA recommends American Modern to their members for classic car insurance. I have been with USAA since 1966 and I believe they are an excellent and well run company and I am sure they carefully vetted (pun intended) AM before recommending them. I have had two cars insured with AM for several years but like other responders I luckily have had no claims.

We looked into National Corvette Museum Agency insurance and it is not available in our state. I don't know why that is.
