Oil dip stick tube

Trying to locate above for engine builder for a 1964 -365 HP. Was the tube Chrome or plain steel? Thank you in advance. Jack J.

Paragon makes a reproduction upper dipstick tube for 57-62 Corvettes but describes it for 57-64 Corvettes. The 57-62 upper dipstick tube is 3732488 while the 63-64 upper dipstick tube is 3826074. I collected many used and NOS dipstick tubes back in the 1980's and have never really determined the difference between the 3732488 and 3826074 tubes. It might be just the bend (see bottom photo). I have never found a NOS 3826074 tube. It is odd that the 57-62 tube (GM # 3732488) replaced the 63-64 tube (GM # 3826074) in Sept. 1974 for parts sold over the counter and not the other way around. Enclosed are photos below as well as the chart and measuring diagram from TSB DR #560 Nov. 14, 1962. The 1963 Corvette tube length is 7 7/8" (straight line - top of engine block stop to to of tube.
