C1 Rebound strap tool

I am reassembling my 1962 chassis frame up restoration, and I my research seems to point to the best tool to rivet the straps is the specialty tool sold by the big box Corvette parts suppliers......my question to the membership, could someone who has the tool loan it to me, I am willing to reimburse, PM me if you can help me out....also comment if you feel there is a better way. Don't have the tool but this will bounce your message back to the top. I think one of the vendors rents this tool.

Leo was kind enough to loan me the tool........to confirm.....what direction do the short length end of straps go, inward correct? Also which direction do the rivets go, are they both head outside inward? Thanks
