1962 pitman arm and third arm ball stud replacement
My pitman arm ball stud and third arm ball stud are worn, the third arm worse than the pitman. The ball stud are available, my research so far says the balls are pressed in, and peened over. The question I have is for those who personally have replaced, how did you do it. ... I am thinking, drilling out the peened backside, use my press to push it out, maybe heat the surrounding area. Then reverse the process, press it in, peen the shaft over, grind it flat ( factory finish). Your input would get appreciated. Dino
