Re: Raising the car 1959
I always raise my C1s as John Ftacek says. By the way, never put the jack under the third arm support bracket at the center front. For a new C1 owner, that is a tempting place to put the jack. If that breaks, you are in for a costly repair.- Top

Re: Raising the car 1959
John, I number of times I put my Hein Werner floor jack under the third arm bearing support bracket and cringed when doing it. Shortly afterwards, I started putting a block of wood alongside but that meant the jack was offcenter. Still worked but not the best way. Can't remember where I saw it, it might have been on the Corvette Forum (and a number of the CF members are also NCRS members) but someone came up with a decent approach for a saddle-shaped wood platform that straddles the third arm bearing support. I need to finally get around to making one up, once I figure out who came up with it, I'll send you the details.Mike T. - Prescott AZ.- Top
