According to the current '63-'64 JG, the heater control switch/function is "back-lit"..... this allows the letters on the switch bezel to be visible ...... my question - where is the light source for this back-lit function.....? there is no socket in the wiring loom for a bulb to be mounted behind the heater switch...... any ideas on this....?Garry Eastwood#38705

Re: "Back-lighting" of '64 heater control function
Gary,
this thread might be some help. I found it quickly after searching "dash and light" in the search function.

if I recall correctly there have to be a couple light bulbs in your dash loom to attach into removeable torpedo socks that clip onto the back of your clock housing.
The thread might show it.- Top

Re: "Back-lighting" of '64 heater control function
Hey Don....
After some additional searching, I found the "torpedo socket" clipped to the bottom of the clock housing..... I thought the problem was the bulb..... tried several bulbs, but nothing is working..... maybe the problem is in the socket.... the wiring loom is new and everything else works fine...... will keep on checking.....Thanks for the response!!- Top
