Need car inspected before purchasing (Bedford, Pa.)

I'm interested in purchasing a car in Bedford, Pa. but need to have it inspected before I make the final plunge.
Does anyone know of someone in that area who can do that and give me non bias feedback?

I would suggest you contact the Pittsburg Tri-State chapter. Maybe the Chapter Chairman or Judging chairman. You can find their contact into under contacts on the home page.

Also it it would help to identify if you are looking at a C1, C2, or C3.

Try Member # 14 who lives not far from Bedford...he's probably forgot more about Corvettes than most of us will ever know...he's up here all the time...the good ol Doc

Another option is to contact Chuck Berg. He advertises in the Driveline. Chuck lives in Virginia.

If you research on the Corvette Fourm they really don't have a great track record. They always have a bunch of cars though. In all kinds conditions.

I strongly recommend you contact Tony Avedisian. Tony owns and operates Tony's Corvette Shop, in Gaitherrsburg MD. Link to his website is: http://www.tonyscorvetteshop.com/index.aspx. Phone # is 301-987-0565. I had Tony inspect 2 cars for me, both cars also happen to be in Bedford PA. Tony drove there, spent several hours inspecting the cars and test driving them. Then he gave me a quick phone report and later in the evening a full written report. I did not buy either car - Tony saved me a lot of money. Well worth the cost to hire him to do the inspection. You will find him very friendly - he is passionate about Corvettes and very knowledgeably. I called him out of the blue because he is relatively close to Bedford PA. He talked to me at length about the car after looking at pics on the internet. I felt like he was very interested in protecting my interest. He will not waste his time or your money without first seeing a lot of detailed pics of the car - if the car looks promising in the pics he will take the time to inspect it. I wish his shop was a bit closer to where I live - I would be taking my recently acquired 64 L76 to him for service and repairs.

Tom, i have some experience with the dealer(I presume) you are possibly buying a car from....and it was NOT good at all. It was about 6 years ago involving a 67 350 hp ac coupe. Feel free to contact me for me to give you some details. Would be happy to share.

When dealing with the Bedford ,PA guys it is "Buyer Beware".

You might have noticed that they use a few different names for their business.

Fellow Corvette enthusiasts,
After all your very constructive feedback, I've decided to not follow through with the car I was looking at. I am thanking my lucky stars that I decided to post my question on here, without some of your feedback I might have made a HUGE mistake!!!!! Thanks all, I greatly appreciate all your info.
