1980 Corvette rear view mirror. What is correct size?

Can someone tell me what size the width was on the inside rear view mirrors for 1980? I Bought a mirror from a Corvette company on eBay and a 8 inch mirror was sent. I thought I read that the 1980 Corvette used a 10 inch mirror. The seller swears up and down he's right. Who is correct? Don

All I can tell you is this: the mirror used in PRODUCTION for 1980 Corvettes was supposed to be GM #14016166. That part number was never available in SERVICE. The mirror specified in SERVICE for the 1980 Corvette application from the very beginning until it was discontinued in February, 1989 was GM #911582. GM says the latter mirror was 10".

It's very possible that the 14016166 and 911582 were exactly the same part. 14016166 is a Chevrolet Division part number. The 911582 looks to me like an Inland-Fisher-Guide Division part number. So, it could well be that they are the same part.
