John, nothing that I know of. It has been sitting for a while and before I install it I want it checked over and have the inner valve body replaced as a leak preventative.- Top

have a person in nw Indiana who will work on your transmission. about a three hour drive from east lansing. he is well acquainted with 55 powerglides and although I have supplied him with a valve body we have not needed to use it. unlike a lot of transmission shop this person goes through every part of the transmission. Guy mentioned burping in the previous post. burping occurs because of improper venting. an external venting system will be installed to the servo cover to prevent fluid loss.- Top

I'd check with Richard Dunham in Haslett, MI. He likely has someone nearby who still knows how to redo Powerglides. I know that Richard is working on a 1962 Powerglide car right now.
