    1971 Corvette Stamp Pad Thoughts

Hello everyone. I have come across a 1971 corvette LT-1 that I am interested in.

I wanted to present the stamp pad and get your thoughts about it in terms if it looks
TFP or if there are any concerns. Thank you and best regards.

    Marc,
The pictures aren't showing up for me. I wouldn't be able to help on the authenticity but I would still like to see.

it looks like there are broach marks, don't know enough about numbers to say but overall looks ok to me......experts will step in and give better advice...good luck.

Thanks Michael for the response and you initial thoughts. I did get another photo of the stamp. I look forward to any opinions on this stamping.

        Best regards.

Here are some photos to help your evaluation. The pad with paint on it is just a few day after your photos.

The broach marks look very good.

The broadcast code (CGY) is for an LT-1 with Heavy Duty 4 spd transmission (M22) normally associated with the ZR1 option, but this one is installed in a non-ZR1 car. If interested, Marc has the same thread over on CF as well.

Yes it is a bizzare corvette. I find it most fascinating. Would look great parked next to my 454. But I have many unanswered questions.
