I presently have a service replacement (64-65 with the flip spring clip)) p/b master cylinder and want to fit a correct-looking one. However, the $750 price tag that seems to be the going rate for rebuilt originals is more than I can stomach for a lump of cast iron. Does anyone here know of any that replicate the original, ie., with the cap held by a hex bolt and a bleeder screw on the lower inside (toward the engine) boss. Dated, with a part number, would be nice (NOT $750 nice) but not necessary. Thanks for any helpful leads.

Re: 63 p/b master cylinder
Rich,
It says for P/B but the second bleeder is not there you need to add it for another $100.00. Plus the date is all wrong.
Buy a core for about $250, have it sleeved for another $100.00 and add the rebuild kit yourself another $35.00. Total $385.00
They are painted Stove Black, so if you send it out, tell them not to oil the metal after they media blast it. Paint with high heat Stove Black paint right away.
To sleeve I use:
Brake and Equipment Warehouse
455 Harrison Street NE
Minneapolis, MN 55413
612-378-3141
They do excellent work for $95.00.Last edited by Harry S.; August 26, 2014, 02:37 PM.
