I need to do mine AGAIN. I spent the time replacing it and it still doesn't work. Connect it at both ends before taking the time to install it, to make sure the cable is good. Also, replace the rubber grommet at the rear, where it comes out of the interior. I am not sure if I received a defective cable (which I have heard others complain about) or I mis-handled it.

Consider pulling the old wire inside of the cable housing out and feed in a .O30 MIG wire feed welding wire. I am assuming that your cable is still installed in the car. This has worked of me in the past. You well have to reconnect the new interior wire at both ends again, but it well eliminate the problem of having to tear things apart to remove the cable.

One thing to remember is that the wire is about the diameter of a human hair and is very fragile, handle with care.

I replaced the coax cable on my 66 coupe a few years ago,first lift the carpet,then remove the alum. kick plate,you will see a raceway along the inside upper edge.remove the cover..now wih the cable ends free I fastned the newcoax to the old on keeping the splice as smal as possible tape over the splice.apply a soapy film over all and have a friend pull the cable while you feed the cable thru the car. good luck Francis....

I just replaced mine yesterday. I used the same method described by Francis.Liquid soap is the key.
