    65 /67 glove box interior

I was down in the basement looking at parts and noticed I have my original 65 glove box assy. and a 65,66,or 67 spare . The cardboard section is opposite . One has the little triangle parts over the top and stapled and the other is pushed inboard and stapled on the underside . (I can take pictures Thursday ). This makes the interior smaller . One has small staples the other large . Both look factory and I have had both sense the early 80s. I'm wonder if the years were different or St Louis / AOS were not the same .

Bill --- just happen to have the glove box out of my early '65, and it has the triangles over the top, and stapled externally. I've owned the car since spring of 1980, so I assume this configuration is factory (it's an S-body).

Thats the one that looks correct to me . Was the staples made out of thick or thin wire ?

I'd call it thin flat wire.

If that's thin wire it gained a lot of weight.

S or AOS wouldn''t make any difference - glove boxes were all installed at St. Louis.
